Million Meals: are you ready for the challenge…
Million Meals offers an excellent service for schools by providing a huge range of effective free resources for Headteachers, Governors, Teachers, Cooks and Business Managers to:
- help the school leadership team and caterers make effective changes to the meal service to increase take up
- gather feedback about your meal service
- educate pupils about healthy eating and promote school meals
- promote your meal service to the wider school community
The School Day the Million Meals Way
Million Meals can help increase your school meal take up and improve the health, wellbeing and potential of your pupils. Set up by the School Food Trust with the simple aim to have a million more children eating healthy school lunches by the end of 2010 – it offers tools and guidance to help schools improve their school lunch provision.
It focuses on helping schools make the positive, and often very small and simple, changes we know will make a difference to take up, and provides a huge number of effective FREE resources to help the entire school leadership team make continuous improvements to your school meal provision.
